JEE Main 2015 Rank by CBSE delayed again. Earlier it was to be declared on June 26 by CBSE and before that it was to be declared on 24 June 2015. The counseling process was to start on June 25 earlier but that has been also delayed due to the non-availability of ranks. In an official notification by CBSE, the Joint Admission Board of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has asked all the Boards to send the complete result of data of all candidates by June 25.

This year about 1.3 million students have appeared for JEE (Main) 2015 and 0.124 million qualified for JEE (Advance) 2015. JoSAA 2015  seat allocation process to all the participating Institutes (NIT + Systems and IIT + Systems) as candidate friendly as possible so as to reduce the anxiety and inconvenience associated with the admissions. This year also the Seat Allocation Process will be online like previous years but with some modifications as compared to previous years.

It would involve four rounds of seat allocation with no option for spot round. As this year the counselling is common for both NIT + System and IIT + System, there are some specific changes which the candidates must carefully observe.

  1. One time opportunity for online Registration and choice filling for all the programmes under NITs, IIITs, other GFTIs, IITs and ISM.
  2. It would involve 4 rounds of seat allocations. First 3 rounds of seat allocations will involve all the participating Institutes (i.e. NITs, IIITs, other GFTIs, IITs and ISM), and the fourth of seat allocation will be only for NIT + System along with preparatory course for IIT + System.
  3. After the first round of counselling, candidates will have options of freeze, float and slide. These options once given cannot be changed. In case of freeze, the candidate will not be considered for next round of counselling. For float and slide option, they will be considered for further round of counselling.
  4. In case a candidate is allocated a seat in NIT + System, he/she has to report in Reporting Centre for NIT + System OR if he/she is allocated a seat in IIT + System, he/ she has to report in Reporting Centres of IIT + System.
