MHT CET Result 2016: (1st June’ 2016) Today, Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell released the MHT CET Result/Rank at the official websites i.e. www.dmer.org & mhtcet2016.co.in. MHT CET 2016 was successfully conducted on 5th May’ 2016. Around 4 lakh candidates appeared for the MHT CET 2016.

Around 4.1 lakh students appeared for the Maharashtra common entrance test (MHT-CET) for admissions to Engineering and Health Sciences courses, but still confusion over its validity. As Supreme Court order making the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) compulsory across the country.

Notification for defective MCQ:
The subject experts have opined that Two (02) questions in the question paper of the aforesaid examination are defective. The Competent Authority, on the basis of the opinion and advice of the respective subject expert has taken a decision to make these Two (02) questions “non-evaluative / invalid”. These questions carried one mark each for a correct answer. Therefore instead of reducing the maximum number of marks from 200 to 198, the Competent Authority has decided to allot one mark each for these defective MCQ to all candidates who appeared in this examination, thus keeping maximum marks as 200; unchanged.
It is expressly clarified that all other “Model-Answers” in respect of 198 questions provided by all the subject experts and the answers provided by the Original setters/Moderators appointed by this Competent Authority have fully matched with each other and hence taken as correct and “evaluative”.
It is further clarified that the aforesaid Two (02) questions have been made non-evaluative and hence if the candidate opts for verification, the answer to these questions will appear as * in the printout of the key response.
